What we collect

PlacesNearByMe does not require accounts and does not collect personal information to browse the site. When you submit a listing through our form, we store only the business details you provide, for the purpose of reviewing and publishing that listing.

Business listings

Listings show business information (name, address, phone, website) sourced from open data — the Overture Maps Foundation and OpenStreetMap contributors — and from owner submissions. This is business contact information, not private personal data. If you believe a listing exposes personal information or should be removed, contact us at [email protected] and we will review it promptly.

Cookies & advertising

We may use cookies for basic site analytics and, in the future, to serve advertising through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Maps

Interactive maps are rendered with OpenStreetMap tiles. When a map loads, your browser requests tile images from OpenStreetMap servers, which may log standard request data (IP address, user agent) under their own privacy policy.
